I am Muhammad Aziz Irfan. I am 18 years old and live in New York City, but I’m basically from Punjab, Pakistan. I took English composition in the Spring 2022 semester. It was a fun class and I’m not a very social person, but I still managed to make a friend from this class. Throughout this course, I learned so much about using CUNY resources for doing research, how to properly use MLA format, and most importantly, how to communicate with others and criticize their work.

I did my best work for the letter of Introduction, Literacy Narrative, and Exploratory Essay but I wasn’t able to do as well in Critical Analysis. During the letter of Introduction and Literacy Narrative, I learned how to choose better words in writing, work with others, write about different genres, and how to edit and revise. When I was doing my Exploratory Essay and Critical Analysis I learned different things like how to use digital and printing technology to share my work with others, composing citations for different sources, and finding the best sources such as articles, books, news, and researches for a specific topic.

Honestly, I don’t think I did my best in this class as I missed a few words due to some of my health issues. I am also not a big fan of reading and writing; I prefer practicing skills physically. I could have done better by working harder but still, it was a good and informative course.
